- Scientific aspect:
+ Quantification of ammonia and phosphate contents in human and cow urine. Evalutation of pollution caused by domestic and dairy wastewater.
+ Study of optimized conditions for N and P recovery from urine by Struvite precipitation
+ Establishment of a laboratory-scale process for N and P recovery by Struvite crystallization.
- Application aspect:
+ The laboratory-scale process for N and P recovery by Struvite crystallization is simple, easy to carry out and friendly with environment without secondary pollution.
+ Struvite precipitation could be used as slow-release fertilizer which is valuable for agriculture.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

A sucessful establishment of N and P recovery process is valuable not only in wastewater treament but also in environmental protection. The main product of above process is Struvite precipitation could be used as slow-release fertilizer, this kind of fertilizer is an effective and eco-friendly fertilizer and could be replaced for conventional inorganic, organic or biologic fertilizers.
