Project's information

Project's title Evaluation of petroleum potential along the Red River delta coastal zone based on studying deep geological structures by geophysical complex
Research hosting institution Institute of Marine Geology and Geophysics
Project leader’s name Hoang Van Vuong
Project duration 01/01/2015 - 01/01/2016
Project’s budget 600 milion of VND
Classify Excellent
Goal and objectives of the project

- To construct the model of techtonic structure-resistivity-density for the Red River delta coastal zone in order to evaluate the deep absorbtion zones in lithosphere and the movements of within substance fluids;
- To determine the relationship between deep structures/geotectonics with the initial of mineral resources within the lithosphere of Red River delta coastal zone;
- To evalute the petroleum potential on study area.

Main results

- Theoretical results: Studied and applied a system of non-seismic geophysical data processing and interpreting for prediction and evaluation petroleum potential on coastal zones.
- Applied results: The Project’s results could be the important approaches for surveys of exploration, prediction and evaluation petroleum potential on coastal zones.
