- To provide list of species composition and common, rare-precious marine fishes collection in the South Central as a basis for building Atlas about marine fishes of Vietnam in order to service management and protection, sustainable exploitation and development of fish resources; development of local economics.
- To aim as basis for the IOC Vietnam in propagation, management, protection, sustainable exploitation and development of marine resources; to improve position of the IOC Vietnam.

- Theoretical results:
• Initial study on collecting of fish specimens and photographs of 200 common species belonging to 127 genera, 69 families, 16 orders and 25 rare-precious species belong to 20 genera, 16 families, 11 orders in the Sousth Central coastal waters.
• Building two colour image collections of 200 common marine fishes and 25 rare-precious species of the South Central. Photos of fish species are presented as two posters.

- Applied results:
• The specimens of marine fishes serve to show-case for marine biodiversity, helping scientists, students, pupils to study, visit and learn.
• The image collections as Posters of marine fishes is a well document in order to service of teaching in schools and universities. This is also good material for fisheries management, the local fishermen in the coastal areas in the education community, enhancing their sense about protection and development of aquatic resources.
• This material will be used as basis for compiling Atlas of marine fishes in the Sousth Central and Vietnam.
