Goal and objectives of the project

The goal of the project is to create an intelligent database system of vascular higher plants of Ba Vi National Park. The database system includes the database, the polyclave keys and the software that allows to create and use polyclave keys in searching, identifying and illustrating the results by using  database

Main results

- Theoretical results: An intelligent database system of vascular higher plants of Ba Vi National Park has been created that allows users to update, to make statistics, to create and use polyclave keys to reference and to identify vascular higher plant specimen
- Applied results: A complete database system is ready for transfer and use.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

For the first time there is a database system that combines database functions with the creation and use of polyclave keys for searching, identifying and illustrating the results by displaying information of the database in a web form. The possibility of quantitative analysis of polyclave keys creates the opportunity for their exact evaluation. The BIOKEYS software is flexible and can be used for different groups of organism.
