Clarify the types of  natural disasters, changes in natural disasters, the impact of natural disasters; analytical ability and factors limiting the ability to prevent natural disasters; recommended viewpoints, orientations, models and solutions improve overall disaster prevention of ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands.

Social Impact
- Providing scientific basis to contribute views innovation, content, formulation and implementation of policies on nationalities.
- The study and offer solutions to improve prevention, disaster response to communities of ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands in place will contribute to sustainable development in the Central Highlands.
- The results of the research will contribute to suggest policy directions for different regions of the country in the capacity to prevent and respond to disasters to the people on the spot.
- System data and scientific arguments research results is material for scientists, policy makers, government agencies, universities, research institutions.

Improving research capacity of institutions and individuals through participation in implementation of projects, postgraduate training (training of masters and PhD)

- Provides database systems for basic research of many branches of science related to sustainable development of ethnic minority regions
- Capacity building for scientific research personnel in and outside the Institute of Ethnic Minorities and the participating agencies to implement the project

The results of the study will be incorporated into training programs, training for capacity building of the Institute of Ethnic cadres, cadres of the Committee for Nationalities, staff  at the Provincial Ethnic Minorities; Ethnic Chamber officials in the district; staff working in the local peoples, ministries concerned; put in the extra-curricular activities, volunteer activities of students, the Highlands University students' thematic; district boarding schools, provincial boarding schools; extracurricular activities included  the continuing education centers at district and province;...in five Central Highlands provinces.
