Goal and objectives of the project

Use of MAP films for storage of Luc Ngan litche to extend the storage life at least 4 weeks with the quality and skin colour stabilized.

- Theoretcal results:
+ 01 technical documents review;
+ 11 scientific research reports;
+ 01 technology process using modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) films for to storage of Luc Ngan litchi;
+ 01 trial of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) films for storage of Luc Ngan litchi with scale of 5 tons of litchi;
+ 01 scientific report describes the results of trial of MAP films for storage of Luc Ngan litchi with scale of 5 tons of litchi.
- Applied results: Build application model using modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) films to storage Luc Ngan litchi with scale of 5 tons at Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute. After 30 days of storage, the percentage of damage was 9.83%. Litchi fruit ensured about food safety according to 10TCN 418-2000 industry standards for fresh litchi fruit, which issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

The successful of the investigation of technological research preserving Luc Ngan lichit using MAP combined with the pretreatment method of harvest has been important significance in promoting the production and commercialization of products litchi, to solve the demand for storage, transportation and  exports to markets, such as Malaysia, USA, Australia ....
