- Theoretical results: (1) Provide a figure about the present status of watershed forests and its changing in recent 10 years, including: (i) present scale of area, distribution and forest properties compared to requrements with their watershed protection function; (ii) develope creteria to assess watershed forests; (iv) Changes of watershed forests in Central Highland and the causes of these changes; (v) Causual relationships between economic-social activitets and watershed forests. (2) Evaluate of: (i) present situation of management organization system of watershed forests in Central Highland; (ii) real state of appliaction of technical and political measurements in watershed forests management at management units; (iii) analyse strengths, weakness, opportunities and challenge in management of Watershed forests in Central; (iv) realise the role and real situation of the participation of relevant stackholders in watershed forest management; (v) lessons and experiences learnt about success and failures. (3) Criteria for tree species selection; for desired forest structure to fulfil multifunctional purposes; for iditifying high conservation value forests and social creteria for sustainbale forest management in CentralHighland. (4) Etablish back ground and a frame of plan for rehabitation, development and mnagement of watershed forests with multifunctional aproach. Demonstration models of rehabilitaion techniques and multi-purpose and sustainable methods. (5) Propse integrate measurements for rehabilitation and management of watershed forests in Central Highland, including: (i) silvicutural technological systems in rehabilitation and development of watershed forests; (ii) Technical system of methods for watershed forest management and multi-purpos use in orientation of exploitation of non forest products potential, eco-tourist, ecosystem services,...(iii) propose measurements to improve legal and policy systems by aproach recommended by research project. - Applied results: provide technical measurements and political instruments for rehabilitation and management of watershed forests in Central Highland.
