Goal and objectives of the project

Study on application of the herbal insecticide Anisaf SH-01 and development of  some bio-products for sustainable cultivation of tea, coffee and pepper at Tay Nguyen region.
To establish feasible synergic applications of fertilizers and bio-pesticides for sustainable cultivation of tea, coffee and pepper, and to transfer to farmers at Tay Nguyen region.

Main results

*Scientific results:
    - The assessement  of situation of soil and using chemical fertilizers, pesticides for tea, coffee and pepper cultivations at the Tay Nguyen provinces showed that there were existing illogical limitations in tea, coffee and pepper cultivations. This assessement was used as fundamentals for applications of bioproducts to partially substitute chemical fertilizer and pesticides towards substainable development.
- Functional micro-bial products such as CHE-HTD 02 for tea, CAFE-HTD 01 for coffee and HOTIEU-HTD 03 for pepper were produced from micro-bial strains which were isolated & screened from rhizosphere of tea, cofffe & pepper in Tay Nguyen area. These  bio-products are nitrogen fixation, auxin synthesis and phosphate dissolution. These micro-bial strains were specifically classified and highly bio-safe.
- Three comprehensive procedures for application of bioproducts including vixura (organic fertilizer from degraded waste), herbal insecticides Anisaf SH-01 and CHE-HTD 02 for tea, CAFE-HTD 01 for coffee and HOTIEU-HTD 03 for pepper in cultivation of respective trees were established. This reduces 25% chemical fertilizer and pesticides.
*Applied results:
The synergic models of using these bioproducts were successfully applied in cutivation of tea, coffee and pepper towards sustainable development. The yields from those models were 19.8%-31.0% higher than that from the control for tea in Lam Dong, 1.5%-22.0% for coffee in Dak Lak and 8.3%-10.0% for pepper in Gia Lai. Qualities of those tea, coffee and pepper meet food safety and hygene standards.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

The bioproducts CHE-HTD 02, CAFE-HTD 01 and HOTIEU-HTD 03 were produced from native microorganisms therefore they have higher level of adaptation and bio-activity.
- Economical benefits of the synergic models are VND 46.8mio/ha, 21.5mio/ha and 170mio/ha per annum for tea, coffee and pepper respectively compared to that of the controls.
