Goal and objectives of the project

•    To assess the present status of water environment in the Ba and Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basins.
•    To determine the causes of pollution and forecast water environment quality of Ba and Vu Gia - Thu Bon rivers according to socio - economydevelopment planning of the provinces in the basin by 2020.
•    To propose general solutions towater environment protection in the Ba and Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basins.
•    To build database on water environment for the Ba and Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basins.
Main results

•    Investigation, measurement and analysisresults of 400 water samples in Ba and Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin.
•    Analyze and evaluation results ofnatural condition, socio - economy, present status of water environment and predictionresults of water environment variation in the Ba and Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin by 2020.
•    Proposing solutions to protect water environment in the Ba and Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basins.
•    Participation in training (2 masters) and scientific papers (1 paper).
