i) Vulnerability assessment of the intertidal and coastal sand system in coastal zone of North Central region of Vietnam (from Cua Hoi to Chan May) by natural disasters related to climate change.
ii) Proposal of mitigation methods for natural disasters.

Determine the impact of natural disasters on the intertidal and coastal sands system in study area (from Cua Hoi to Chan May).
- Applied results:
+ Proposal and finishing complet mitigation methods for natural disasters and vulnerability of intertidal and coastal sand in research area (from Cua Hoi to Chan May) and determine the oriented development , use and exploitation plans for the research area.
+ The result is a scientific basis to serve of the longterm response activities to natural disasters, especially to climate change and rising sea level in coastal area of North Central of Vietnam.

+ Establish the current state of the intertidal and coastal sands system in study area (from Cua Hoi to Chan May).
+ Vulnerability assessment of intertidal and coastal sand system in study area (from Cua Hoi to Chan May).
+ Determine the nature of the coastal erosion activities in the study area (type, mechanism ...).
