Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

On science:

  • Have studied and acquired characteristics mineralogy, geochemistry of mineral deposits of Tam Bo bentonite mines (Di Linh, Lam Dong) reflected the value of the parameters: mineral composition material, chemical composition, bloating level, county level components, like electrodynamics (zeta potential), clay surface area, volume and pore size, the differentiation dependent on the size of the hole. These results were external verification at the University National Research Belgorod (Russian Federation), and coincide with the data published previously in the literature of Tam Bo bentonite temporary.
  • Have researched the technology to clean and improve concentration MMT in Tam Bo and modify Tam Bo bentonite clay with sulfuric acid, bentonite activation method using sodium chloride, wet and half wet Na2CO3, modify bentonite by LiOH . Purify and enrich bentonite powder by wet method allows raising levels of up to 72% montmorillonite.
  • The results determine the Tam Bo bentonite absorption capacity after refined and modified are different (types Na- Ben, Ben H. Ben and Li-), bentonite activated by NaCl then fixed nano Ag (in Ag / Na- Ben) by means of methylene blue adsorption value represented by cation adsorption capacity (CEC) and Langmuir adsorption isotherm, showed that refined bentonite CEC lowest is 53 MDL / 100g, Li- Ben CEC highest is 71 MDL / 100g. The absorption capacity of these products for Cd and Pb is good, bad for Hg adsorption and no capacity adsorption for As in aqueous solution.
  • Set up process for preparing silver nano with the appropriate conditions (temperature, pH, incubation time, the proportion of nano silver / bentonite) to onto bentonite to obtain the compound Ag/ bentonite effectively in disinfection. This process has registered patents - registration application was accepted.
  • Results determine and compare the disinfection capability (for E.coli and Salmonella) of the reifined and enriched bentonite and of the purified and enriched bentonite with 2% silver nanoparticles implanted show: Bentonite without Ag nano transplantation can inhibit bacteria from 50-90% in the initial bacterial concentration of 102-103 CFU/plates; bentonite implanted nano silver concentrations in the original environment from 0.2 to 0.8% inhibited almost completely E.coli and Salmonella at concentrations of 106 CFU /plates.
  • The results determine and compare the ability to inhibit fungi (Aspergillus flavus) in the forms of studied bentonite without Ag nano and in the form of studied bentonite with 2% silver nanoparticles implanted showed that fungi inhibition of bentonite without Ag nano implantation is not clear, also implanted silver nano bentonite likely to 99% inhibition, bentonite in other forms is only capable of inhibiting fungi 70-90% in terms of density of fungi is 102-103 CFU /plates and bentonite concentration of 2%.
  • Mycotoxins Aflatoxin B1 ability adsorption of kinds refined bentonite, bentonite and bentonite modified implanted nano silver are determined in laboratory conditions stipulated by the European Commission have reached over 90%.

About application:

  • Set up based standard for the feed additives called BENT - IET made from purified Tam Bo bentonite.
  • Have designed, manufactured, operated bentonite refined lines of 100 kg/day. Using this line can get purified bentonite montmorillonite content of over 70%.
  • The results of additional fixed bentonite nano silver in Egyptian reproductive poultry feed in external and reproductive period at the rate of 1.5% is showing that the cost of feed on eggs reduces from 0.6% to 2%.

Based on the researched results of this topic the authors suggest the 3nd Highlands Program Management Committee consider and to perform the following tasks:

  • The trial-tested project in manufacturing all kinds of feed additives have the effect of adsorption of mycotoxins, fungal and bacterial inhibition, adsorption of heavy metals from raw materials Tam Bo bentonite and nano silver..
  • Research project producing slow release macro-element fertilizer, moisturizing effect of cropland and increasing the absorption capacity of the plant mineral fertilizers from Tam Bo bentonite and macro-element conventional fertilizers
  • Research Projects on manufacturing combination adsorbent based on Tam Bo bentonite, which capable of simultaneously adsorbing organic pollutants, heavy metals, microorganisms and some radioactive substances in water.
