Goal and objectives of the project

The goal of project is implementation of the technology process for production of  the functional self-cleaning material from TiO2 based photocatalytic material in the pilot scale; Develop the self-cleaning applicable protoype for decomposition hazardous organic compounds, antifugal activity, antibacterial activity, airpurification activity, self-cleaning building activity; Implementation of the methodology, setting up the instrumentation for measuring and testing photocatalytic properties of the materials following Vietnamese, International standards TCVN and ISO.

Main results

Theoretical results:
- The scientific aproach and technical solution for implementation of the production line for TiO2 based photocatalytic paint in the pilot scale (1000litr per month).
- Stabilization of the technology process for sintering TiO2 sol-gel in moderate scale about 5 litr per time sintering.
- Stabilization of the technology process for sintering nanocomposite TiO2/Hydroxylapatite in moderate scale about 15 litr per 1 hour time sintering.
- Implementation of the scientific methodology, and technical solution for setting up the instrumentation for measuring and testing photocatalytic properties of the materials following Vietnamese, International standards TCVN and ISO.
- Investigate the photocatalytic activities of the applicable prototype by means of the Vietnamese and International standards TCVN, ISO.
Applied results:
- Implementaion of the prototype photocatalytic activities in the real field experiments. The results have shown good photocatalytic effects for environmental conversation .
- The project’ products have been applied to the Yen Dinh general hospital, Thanh hoa province for antibacterial and airpurification activities. The TCVN:ISO test for antibacterial and responses of the patients for indoor air quality have shown the good results.
- Commercialization of the photocatalytic paints (project products) have been realised by contract with end user and with product distributor company.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

- Realization of production line for photocatalytic paint from TiO2 based material in the pilot scale about 100litr per month.
- Scientific and technical solution for measuring and testing photocatalytic activiies of the materials by means of Vietnamese and ISO standards.
- Scientific cooperation with Photocatalytic Industrial Association of Japan (PIAJ) for developments applications of photocatalytic activities in the field-experiment scale in Vietnam.
