Goal and objectives of the project

Apply advanced science and technology while taking the actual conditions of the Memorial into consideration to improve the reliability providing and using electrical and thermal energy in an economical and efficient way in Memorial K9
Plan a general project aimed at providing stable, reliable energy to Memorial K9 and making use of the energy (electricity and thermal) in an economical way.

Main results

a) Scientific results
- The results of the study will theoretically make the calculation method, and design an optimum energy optimum energy provision system on the basis of combining exploitation and use of energy resources on site, especially the use of renewable energy and the national grid power.
- Investigate, carry out research, analyse and evaluate quantitatively the ability to exploit on-site renewable energy sources including wind, solar and geothermal, thus helping to make a plan for investment into a system to provide electricity and heat.
b) Effect on economy and society
- The success of the project research will contribute to the stable supply of electricity and thermal energy to the Memorial K9, thus helping to improve the activities of officers and soldiers in serving people from all over the country to visit and study at the Memorial K9. This, in turn, will contribute to the propagation and education of revolutionary traditions of the Vietnamese nation's, the Party, letting the visitors, especially young people, know more about President Ho Chi Minh and the nation's struggle for the freedom and independence of the Viet Nam
-This project has created favorable conditions for the training of research staff,
young scientists of the Institute of Energy Science and Application Research Center of Science, Technology and Environment in the field of exploitation and use of renewable energy as well as efficient and economical use of energy - the two areas that many countries in the world are interested in.
- The success of the project will have a positive impact on the development of supply station using different sources of energy available locally in Vietnam, especially in the current period as well as in the future because energy needs for economic and social development in our country are increasing day by day.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

The project succeeded in evaluating the potential of renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and geothermal sources at the Memorial K9, thereby making scientific conclusions about of the ability to exploit these energy sources in addition to mains electricity in order to provide stable energy for the Memorial K9.
The project helped to build a model solar power station combined with the national grid to exploit solar energy to provide reliable power for critical loads and reduce energy costs for the Memorial K9.
The project helped to propose solutions to an investment into a mixed system of supply and use of power (both mains electricity and renewable energy) in an economical and efficient way.

Products of the project

- A report on the overall assessment of the current situation and proposed solutions to stable and reliable energy supply and efficient and economical use of energy aimed st minimising environmental pollution in the areas.
- A model of solar power stations in combination with grid electricity supply load.
