- Assessment and classification flammable forests.
- Proposal of measurements to control forest fires.

a) Theoretical results:
The project has major achievements, such as:
- Clarifying the status of forest fires in the Daklak province period 2000 - 2012;
- Establishment of forest classification map of Daklak province at scale 1:100.000 according to the classification systems by species and volume of forest issued by Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development;
- Analysis and clarification of socio - economic and natural factors, which infuence forest fire process in Daklak province, from which 08 indicators as input for the model of forest fire risk classification were selected.
- Establishment of forest fire risk classification and zone maps of Daklak province at scale of 1:100.000. That meets the requirement of update and management of forest resources and forest fire prevention in the whole province.
b) Applied results:
The project results can be used to prevent forest fire in Daklak province. In addition, these results are a source for reference in training and research in the field of forest fire prevention and management at the Universities and specialized research institutions.

- This is the first time for establishing forest fire risk zone map in Daklak province at scale of 1:100.000.
- Contribute to improve the methodology of GIS technology application to build model in prediction of forest fire risk.
