- Using multitemporal remote sensing data to inventory, classify entire wetland units in Quang Ninh province in form of GIS database at scale of 1:25,000.
- Transferring technology process of building wetland database by applying multitemporal remote sensing technology and GIS to local authority.
- Proposing an orientation of rational and sustainable utilization of the main wetland types in Quang Ninh in the context of adaptation to climate change.

- Theoretical results: The results confirm the preeminence of remote sensing methods in combination with GIS for producing wetland map of Quang Ninh, saving time, cost and work, but still ensuring necessary accuracy.
- Applied results: Wetland status quo of Quang Ninh province is thoroughly inventoried. This improve the efficiency of using map of wetland status quo orienting the environmental protection planning and disaster prevention in response to climate change
