Determine the characteristics of marine geo-hydro dynamics that influence some ecosystems in the study area

Main results

Theoretical results:

  • Set of current and water level data at a fixed station near Coto island in two seasons measured by the project in 2012;
  • Charts describe monsoon regime;
  • Schematics of mean current and wave in winter and summer, scale 1:200.000;
  • Schematics of marine geo-hydro dynamics based on model result and analysis of side scan sonar and surface sediments data, scale 1:200.000;
  • Maps of marine geo-hydro dynamics, scale 1:200.000;
  • Propose solutions for protect ecological environment;

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

-The project has done 02 field trips in Coto sea area. The measurement data can be used to verify models and supply new data for the study area. The project has been exploited and used new dataset on oceanographic, meteorologic, side scan sonar, surface sediments from the marine surveys available in the area. The results of this project will have a practical contribution to the research of hydrodynamics, sediment transport, and protect the ecological environment.
