Project duration 01/01/2012 - 01/01/2013
Project’s budget 200.000.000 VND
Classify Excellent
Goal and objectives of the project

• Investigation of absorption, scattering, and extinction of nanoparticles under the action of laser radiation.
• Analysis of influence of optical parameters of materials and morphology of nanoparticles on their optical properties

Main results

• Theoretical model succefully been developed, essential regularities of the processes of absorption, scattering, and extinction of nanoparticles under the action of laser radiation, caused by the influence of optical parameters of materials and morphology of nanoparticles.
• It will allow studying variety of physically interesting and practically important results. It will be elaborated for description of interaction processes theoretical approach on the basis of working out new models and application of modern methods of numerical simulation and analytical investigation. Obtained theoretical results will be analyzed and compared with the experimental results.
• Scientific significance is in development and deepening representations about fundamental properties of interaction processes of laser radiation with nanoparticles.
• Joint research between VAST and B.I. Stepanov Institute of Physics of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is an important avenue for exchanging scientific and technical knowledge especially among the young researchers in the group. The similarities in the research field of both groups serve as the base for scientific exchange:
In 2012, Prof. Dr. Vu Thi Bich and Dr. Nghiem Thị Ha Lien have worked at B.I. Stepanov Institute of Physics of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus from 22-28 October, 2012.
4. In 2013, Dr. Pham Hong Minh and Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh Van have worked at B.I. Stepanov Institute of Physics of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus from 27-31 October, 2013.
5. From 26/11to 01/12, 2013, 05 scientifics from BI Stepanov, B.I. Stepanov Institute of Physics of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus scientists has been research exchanges at IOP, VAST

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

Practical significance will be in use of obtained results on elaboration of new selective methods if irradiation of nanoparticles from another metals and their application in laser medicine. Recommendation for choice of optimal parameters of laser pulses and nanoparticles will be done with aim of their practical application.
