Constructing and installing five local seismic stations for observation and research the earthquake activities in the Bac Tra My district and adjacent area, Quang Nam provice

a) The effectiveness of science and technology of the project:
The seismic data were recorded by the local seismic network in the area Bac Tra My district and adjacent in the period of 2012-2013 has significantly contributed in providing the earthquake information fully and quickly for the Bac Tra My district and adjacent area where has not been performed before.
The seismic data were recorded by the local seismic network in the Bac Tra My district and adjacent area in the period of 2012-2013 has significantly contributed in studying the safety operating procedures of the Song Tranh 2 dam.
Providing the triggered seismic data occurring in the area of the Song Tranh 2 dam for the studies of the independent national project: "Study the effects of the seismotectonic stability in the Song Tranh 2 hydropower project, the Bac Tra My district, Quang Nam province"
b) The effect of socio-economic:
- The results of the earthquake observation in recent years has helped the local authorities to carry out the construction planning for the residents in surrounding area of the reservoir of Song Tranh 2 hydropower.
- Providing the importance seismic data for studying the triggered seismic activity in the reservoir of Song Tranh 2 hydropower and adjacent area to propose the safety operation for the dam.
- Providing the earthquake infomations to the Committee for Disaster Prevention, Prevention and Rescue Committee to build the operational plans according to the Regulations preventing earthquake and tsunami of the Government.
