Goal and objectives of the project

• To research and develop LED lighting technology for application in Agriculture;
• To provide an initial support to build HTD’s potential building of LED lamps research, fabrication, and application in Agriculture

Main results

On the science aspect:
- Completed an overview study on world’s and Vietnam’s development situation of lighting technology, in general, and LED lighting, in particular, and its application in Agriculture.
- Completed a study, design and test fabrication of 4 LED-NN lamp types to be applied in plants growing cultivated crop varieties.
- Completed a study, design and fabrication of some auxiliary devices using LED-NN lamps to serve growing plantscultivated crop varieties.
- Completed a study on application of LED-NN lamps to stimulate growth of Gerbera Jamesini and Chrysanthemum plants.
On the application aspect:
All technology R&D results of the project isare athe basis and athe premise for the implementation of the KHCN-TN3/11-15 project under State’s key science-technology program “Science and technology for serving Tay Nguyen region’s social – economic development”. Besides, the project has contributed to build science and technology potential for HTD in receiving and transferring LED lighting technology to be applied in Agriculture

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results
  • For the first time, the fabrication of LED-NN lamps and a 6-floor test frame for growing cultivated crop varietiesplants tissue cultivation  in-vitro was completed at HTD
  • And also for the first time, at the VAST, a study on assessment and selection of LED-NN lamps having good effects onfor the growth of the Gerbera Jamesini and Chrysanthemum plants’ buds, roots, and trunks  was completed
