Goal and objectives of the project
  • To design, manufacture an equipment system for automatic fluid mixture to meet the health care sector’s standards.
  • To perfect the concentrated blood filtering fluid technology to meet the health care sector’s standards to be provided for artificial kidney treatment.
  • To apply the mixing fluid product for treatment for kidney decline patients at hospitals.
Main results

a) In terms of science:

  • An automatic concentrated electrolysis equipment system for fluid mixture has been manufactured with a capacity of 100 liters of fluid A/operation shift and 160 liters of fluid B/ operation shift.
  • The software to control the automatic fluid mixing technology has been set up to meet requirements for technological process during operation.
  • The process for concentrated blood filtering mixing technology has been set up.
  • The analysis results of finished fluid quality have been achieved.
  • The equipment design file sets have been available.

b) In terms of application:

  • The concentrated electrolysis fluid is used. It is mixed by the theme’s automatic fluid mixing equipment for the treatment for 10 patients suffering from chronic kidney decline at the last stage with TNT. The treatment cycle is 3 sessions/week (12 times/month) with a total of 120 times.
  • The results: The use of blood filtering fluid mixed by the theme’s equipment for treatment of artificial kidney is safe. The treatment results have met standards for blood filtering quality that is equivalent to that used at hospitals.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

The theme has made contributions to reduce direct costs for patients who receive artificial kidney treatment from VND 180,000 down to 88,000 for each time of using fluid for filtering blood.

Reduced annual cost per patient is: VND 12,600,000.
