Goal and objectives of the project
  • To investigate and evaluate the current situation and causes of degradation of natural resources and environment (NRE) of  soil - water in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh provinces.
  • To identify solutions for degradation prevention, suitable exploitation as well as enovation measures for sustainable socio-economic development.
Main results

Theoretical results

  • The results of the project will contribute to the development of methodology:  interdisciplinary approach and ecology-economy-enviroment based approach in suitable  management and usage of soil - water resources based on sustainable development view.
  • The results of the project are expected to contribute to the scientific basis for planning of socio-economic development, environmental protection and reducing natural resource degradation, contributing to poverty reduction and socio-economic development in a sustainable way.

Applicaple results

  • For the hosting institution, the research results will contribute to improve its research capacity and management in doing research on natural disaster prevention, mitigation and training for researchers.
  • For users, the project will provide lastest scientific basis and foundation for their references, that will be usefull for them in identifying measures to mitigate in natural resources degradation. 
Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

The research results of the project contribute to developing a comprehensive overview of natural conditions and natural resources in the Thanh – Nghe – Tinh region. Contributing to the development of methodolotgy: Interdisciplinary approach and ecology-economy-environment based approach in suitable management and use of land and water resouces based on sustainable development view.

The research results of the project will be transferred to VAST, the Ministry of Science and Technology and Departments of Science and Technology of the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh.
