Goal and objectives of the project

-    Research and developing Geodatabase to support coffee management in Daklak province;
-    Developing coffee grovvth monitoring and yield estimation system based on open- GIS technology;
-    Training and Transíerring the system to local administration agency.

Main results

-    Theoretical results: a) Project had successíul test VNREDSat-1 data in establish coffee map in Buon Me Thuot city based on data analyzing and processing procedure with integrated historical data and physical iníòrmation froni satellite images. Standard atmospheric correction is applied for VNREDSat-1 to get more accurate image physical iníòrmation; b) Environment iníbrmation which is extracted from MODIS has good quality as environment iníbrmation last 05 years. The procedure in order to collect this information is developed based on MODIS data; c) Coffee yield and production prediction methodology in DakLak is developed based on the integration of MODIS data and historical statistic data and this method will be more checked in next year; d) Open source iníbrmation system to support analyzing and displaying data is also successíìil studied and developed.
-    Applied results: Project trained, implemented and transferred data analyzing and displaying system to Department of Agricultural and Rural Development in DakLak province to support prediction mission in the íìiture. Other side, project also trained officers from districts in DakLak province to use remote sensing and GIS software for deeper processing as need.
