Goal and objectives of the project

•    Goals: Build technological process of (organic chloride) pesticide contamination remediation of POPs compounds and accompanying waste (packaging) by carbonization method
•    Objectives of the project: Study on pesticide contamination remediation of POPs compounds to reduce environmental pollution by carbonization method

Main results

•    Theoretical results: Study on suitable technological process to apply (chloride) pesticide contamination remediation in the environment, including: network diagram, specific parameters of temperature, resident time, environment, absorbent’s concentration. After treatment, the quality of solid waste, water and toxic emission samples met Vietnamese regulation.
•    Applied results: Chloride pesticide contamination remediation may be deployed in pilot scale

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

Scientific research resuilts have contributed to open a new direction in toxic chloride component treatment technology of pesticides which exist in solid before discharging in the environment. After treatment, pesticide contaminated soil without chloride component can be reused. It can be possible to develop carbonization technology for (organic chloride) pesticide as a environment pollution treatment method.

Recommendations

Pesticide contamination reme-diation by carbonization method is a feasible research to remove POPs compounds of pesticide in the invironment protection field. The project’s leader suggests that the managements allow our to continue the quality and scale advantage researches which proceed to apply in practice.
