Goal and objectives of the project

- To assess the role of factors causing landslide hazards when the hydroelectric lake accumulated water by the 3S Technology.
- To make the landslide hazards sensitivity maps, landslide hazards zoning maps and landslide hazards threat maps for solutions to diminish disasters,
- To build scientific data for a general project, environmental protection in the area of the hydroelectric lake and the area near the hydroelectric lake

Main results

In science
- The process of making the landslide hazards sensitivity maps, landslide hazards zoning maps and landslide hazards threat maps is done by a logical and scientific evaluation system based on GIS technology.
- The calculating points and weights of some factors by quantitative methods has eliminated somewhat subjectivity in the research process
- Recommending some solutions to recover and diminish landslide hazards to increase the life expectancy of lake.

In use: The project is the first one that made the Zoning Map, the Landside Hazard Map by GIS Technology in a specific zone – Ban Ve Lake.
