Goal and objectives of the project
  • Research, design and produce a fluorescence lifetime equipment base on Time Correlated Single Photon Counting technique
  • Apply for research photo-dynamics of nano materials, bio-materials
Main results
  • Design a fluorescence lifetime equipment base on Time Correlated Single Photon Counting technique.
  • Developed a fluorescence lifetime measurement system base on Time Correlated Single Photon Counting technique first time in Vietnam successfully. Equipment system includes Picosecond pulsed diode laser, TCSPC Module, Detectors, Software for receive and data processing. Time resolution of  system is about 250 picosecond and working in the visible region.
  • Defined life time of nano materials, pigment. Study Fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) of the nano materials in pigment media.
Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results
  • Using a completely new technique to develop a equipment which is able to measure fluorescence signal weak intensity (single photon) and high resolution (250 picoseconds)
  • Equipment was designed and developed from individual components in modular. Cost of equipment is cheaper then it one with same specifications which was imported from abroad, open a new research direction in Vietnam: Photo – dynamics research for matreials
