Goal and objectives of the project
  • Research on overview of the combining solar energy and grid-power system and development direction in Vietnam nowaday;
  • Catching procedure of calculation, design, install, adjust and operation of electricity supply base on combining solar energy (as other renewable source) and nation grid-power;
  • Buiding 5kW electricity supply system base on combining solar energy and grid-tie power at positive loaction in management section of VAST.
Main results

a. Theoretical results

  • Publish overview of the combining solar energy and grid-power system and development direction in Vietnam nowadayreport;
  • Complete technical design document of electricity supply system base on combining solar energy and grid-tie power, includes: DC component form PV, DC/AC converter and smart charge. Hybridphotovoltaic system allow utilize power that be extract from solar energy either has nation grid-power or without it (automatic dismiss load and switch to mode of supply electricity to preferential load);
  • Complete design and co-ordinateto produce 5kW DC/AC converter and smart charge that utilize on hybrid solar energy and national grid-power system;
  • Research and build monitoringand control system and display parameters of hybrid solar energy and grid-power system on independent screen and web.

b. Applied results

  • Result of theme include modelling test data are certain base to implement hybrid other renewable energy and grid-power system. Beside utilize theme’s result to implement widely in Vietnam.
  • Base on theme’s result authors group are deploying 15,3kWp hybrid solar energy and national grid-power at Ninh Thuan province.

Recommendations

Continue investing to research technical and technology factors and making development support policy of Hybrid solar energy and national grid-power system in order to upgrade exploitation efficiency of solar energy in Vietnam.
