Goal and objectives of the project

The goal is designing and fabricating one parallel robot and used for upgrading conventional machine tools to be able to process surface complex with high precision

Main results

- Theoretical results:
(1) Calculate and design the mechanical structure of parallel robot, simulate the dynamic and the kinematic of the structure.
(2) Select and integrate control system
(3) Develop GUI software based on engineering and technology requirements
- Applied results:
(1) Operate whole system with some different profiles in laboratory environment.
(2) Applicability: Not yet

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

(1) Survey the applicability of parallel robots in machine tools
(2) Design parallel robot based on the specifications of the RMA-1150 MFG IKEDA drill
(3) Expand SARC software system towards standardized data
