Goal and objectives of the project
  • Preparation of two types of amphiphilic/graft block copolymers based on glutamic acids, polyethyleneglycol and α-tocopherol (Vitamin E), and nano-sized polymeric micells in H2O having drug loading capacity;
  • Testing  the loading capacity as well as the slow-relase rates of the paclitaxel-loaded polymeric micells in vitro.
Main results

Theretical results: Two types of graft copolymers based on 2 types of glutamic acids, i.e., poly-L-glutamic a-xit lµ poly-L-glutamic a-xit vµ poly-γ-glutamic a-xit glutamic acids and α-tocopherol (Vitamin E) with the grafting degrees in the range of 25-45% were successfully prepared. The nano-sized polymeric micells based on the as-prepared graft block copolymers in H2O having good paclitaxel loading capacity were also studied. The testing data in vitro showed that the paclitaxel-loaded polymeric micells could be slow-released
