Goal and objectives of the project
  • To design and produce low power-consumption's CO (0-5% Vol.), CO2 (0-16% vol.) and n-hexane (0-2000 ppm) sensor prototypes for laboratory tests (following Vietnam standart ĐLVN 214:2009).
  • To design, manufacture and evaluate the prototype portable multi-gas analyzer.
  • To cooperate with VMI to evaluate the IMS prototype products.
Main results

- Investigated the technological conditions effected on crystallite sizes and finding out the optimum technologial condiction for LaFeO3 fabricated by sol-gel method.
- Used the optimum condiction and provide new technologies for preparation LnFeO3 (Ln are La, Nd and Sm) and LaFe1-xCoxO3 (x=0-1) materials. These materials have crystallite sizes about 10-25 nm, high surface areas and suitable for sensor production.
- Design and Produced low power-consumption's sensors using the bester suitable materials, such as LaFe0.9Co0.1O3  for  CO (0-5% Vol.), Pt coils for CO2 (0-16% Vol.) and NdFeO3 for n-hexane (0-2000 ppm). All the sensors are charecterized and tested following Vietnam standarts ĐLVN 214:2009.
- Design and Produced the portable multi-gas analyzer for exhaut gases from transport vehicle. The first prototype product (Model: KT-1) series analyzers could working in a weather-resistant case with an integrated display, active ambient air sampling, and RS-485/USB conection with PC. The KT-1 versions are well suited for detecting combustible gases and gases exhausted from transport vehicles with a faster sample rate. The measurement values are displayed both numerically and graphically and printed as such print screen.
- Having the evaluation of VMI on the first products (with model KT-1) in laboratory and field test.

In scientific and technological fields:

- Using new nano-technology for fabrication gas-sensing materials on basic of fuctional ABO3 oxides.
- Successful design and fabrication the gas sensors CO, CO2 and n-hexane suitable for the portable multi-gas analyzer for exhaut gas from transport vehicle on laboratory frame.

In applied fields: Applied Physics and Environmental Technology.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results
  • Capable provide research on nano-materials, device and equipment on laboratory frame.
  • Using the scientific research results on the field of nano-materials and gas-sensor in order to design and fabricated gas-sensor capable measuring in the requirment detection ranges.
  • The first product should be suitable for measuring combustible gases and gases exhausted from transport vehicles with a faster sample rate.
Products of the project
  • Two new technological procedures for fabrication of LnFeO3 and LaFe1-xCoxO3  materials.
  • New sensors CO (0-5% Vol.), CO2 (0-16% Vol.) and n-hexane (0-2000 ppm) with low composumption and shorst responde times.
  • New portable multi-gas analyzer for exhaut gas from transport vehicle on laboratory frame.
  • Specification of the first prototype products (Model: KT-1).
Research region
  • Suitable for detecting combustible gases
  • Suitable for controlling concentration of CO, CO2 and n-hexane + NOx exhaut from transport vehicle.
