FUNCTIONS AND TASKS
Functions:

The Institute of Advanced Technology is responsible for fundamental research, fundamental investigation, professional training of high-quality human resources, and the applied research and development of technology in the fields of materials technology, chemistry, biochemical pharmaceuticals, modern physics, environment, ecology, natural resources, biodiversity, climate change response, sustainable development, and related interdisciplinary science and technology fields.

Tasks:

Fundamental Study and Assessment: Conducting fundamental study, basic investigations, evaluation, and appraisal in the fields of materials science and technology, semiconductors, chemistry, pharmaceutical biochemistry, physics, biology, environmental science, ecology, natural resources, biodiversity, climate change adaptation, sustainable development, and other related interdisciplinary scientific and technological fields.
2. Technology Development and Application: Researching and developing new technologies, building and testing application models to implement research findings in practice, pilot production, and manufacturing in the fields of materials science and technology, chemistry, pharmaceutical biochemistry, physics, environmental science, ecology, and biodiversity. This research focuses on applications in energy, optoelectronics, industry-agriculture, ecological environment, public health care, and sustainable development, along with other relevant scientific and technological fields as regulated by law.
3. Quantum Physics and Advanced Materials Research: Studying and developing theoretical foundations and applications of quantum physics, semiconductor materials, optoelectronic materials, superconducting materials, and materials under special conditions. Additionally, advancing the application of electronic devices, computational models in theoretical physics, and scientific and technological research.
4. Scientific Consultancy and Technology Transfer: Providing scientific consultancy, peer review, assessment, appraisal, technology transfer, production deployment, design, manufacturing, installation of technical projects, environmental impact assessment, and other scientific and technological services within the aforementioned fields and related disciplines as stipulated by law.
5. 5. Communication and Awareness Raising: Implementing communication, education, and capacity-building activities to enhance awareness of science, technology, conservation, and the effective use of natural resources, biodiversity, and sustainable development.
6. Training high-quality human resources in science and technology within the fields above and other related scientific and technological disciplines following legal regulations.
7. Establishing and fostering scientific and technological collaboration at national and international levels, including partnerships with domestic and foreign organizations in research, technology transfer, and scientific and technological development in the specified fields.
8. Managing organizational structure and personnel, including the administration and utilization of officials and employees in compliance with legal regulations and the policies of the Academy.
9. Overseeing financial and asset management of the institution by legal regulations and the policies of the Academy.
10. Performing other tasks as assigned by the President of the Academy.
