Project's information

Project's title Research and development of several potential field methods on studying the deep structure of the Earth’s crust: Applying to study the structure of the Earth’s crust in the abyssal plain of the East Sea of Vietnam and ajacent area
Project’s code VAST06.02/22-23
Research hosting institution Institute of Marine Geology and Geophysics
Project leader’s name PhD. Tran Van Kha
Project duration 01/01/2022 - 31/12/2023
Project’s budget 600 million VND
Classify Grade B
Goal and objectives of the project

- Research and development of downward continuation method and potential field methods to determine the boundary of geological bodies on several theoretical models.
- Applying these methods to map the Bouguer gravity anomaly, magnetic anomaly. Consequently, a geologic diagram of the deep structure of the Earth’s crust in the abyssal plain of the East Sea of Vietnam and ajacent area has been constructed based on these magnetic and gravity data.
