Classify | Excellent |
Goal and objectives of the project | - Completing the biofloc technology process for brackish water tilapia farming.
- Successfully applied biofloc technology to produce tilapia on a commodity scale |
Main results | - Theoretical results:
01 useful solution granted a patent
01 useful solution is accepted
Won third prize in Hai Phong City Technical Innovation Contest
01 technical guidebook was published in September 2023
01 scientific paper published in the Viet Nam Journal of Agriculture and Rural Development, No 12 (2022) , pages 71 -83
05 technical staff of the coordinating unit have been trained to master and master technology so they can proactively expand production;
20 tilapia farmers have received technical training to apply technology to production to improve production efficiency.
- Applied results:
The technical process of raising tilapia using biofloc technology in a brackish water environment has been applied to implement this project, creating 335,582 tilapia fry and 71,200 kg of commercial tilapia. |
Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results | When applying the project's technological process to cultured fish, fish use biofloc granules as a food source to help reduce Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), increase feed efficiency, and increase fish productivity, reducing production costs, reducing product prices, commercial tilapia ensures food hygiene and safety quality, increases selling prices, and increases profits compared to currently tilapia culture technology. |
