| FUNCTIONS AND TASKS | Functions: - Department of application and development technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) is office to help President of VAST for managing Application and development technology of VAST.
Tasks: - Prepare and submit to VAST’s President annual and 5 years term plan of application and development of VAST; In cooperation to develop, strategies, program, long term planning, 5 year planning and annual planning.
- To study, proposed and develop the trend, function, mechanisms, method to strengthen application, development transfer and marketing result of studied in to market.
- To be responsible office of manager all the application and development of technology of VAST, cooperate to other ministries, provincial and other application development institution of VAST based on the Regulation of Government and VAST.
- Preside and cooperate with planning and finance department to consult to VAST President.
- Prepare and carried out the project, mission of application and development technology based on the national and VAST regulation.
- To assist VAST’s President to manage the produce, business, consultant, service science and technical, technology transfer the VAST’s institution based on National and VAST’s regulation.
- Cooperate with the related institution prepare and submit VAST’s President to get approve the international project for application, development and technology transfer.
- Help, supervise, verify the institution of VAST for application and development based on national and VAST regulation.
- Organize, summing up, reported, statistics about the field of department based on the national and VAST regulation.
- Manager the staffs and properties of department carried out the competition of department based on the national and VAST’s regulation.

| REGULAR ACTIVITIES |
- To study, proposed and develop the trend, function, mechanisms, method to strengthen application, development transfer and marketing result of studied in to market.
- Manage tast in cooperation with ministries, braches, locals, and pilot production projects.
- Presiding over and working with, supporting, and instructing units in the Academy to join in technology market fair, ads, introduction events for scientific technological products of the Academy.
- Managing activities of manufacturing, trading, consultancy and technical science services, technology transfer, intellectual property of units in the Academy.
- Cooperate with the related institution prepare and submit VAST President to get approve the international project for application, development and technology transfer.
- Help, supervise verify the VAST institution for application and development based in national and VAST regulation.
- Managing operations of enterprises, units established in accordance with Decree No. 35/HĐBT dated January 28th 1992, units under Decree no. 115 of the Government.
